Babycakes NYC is a delicious bakery that was a favorite spot of Kaeli’s in New York City. The bakery is a one of a kind place that can serve many New Yorkers because of their non-restriction products that are vegan and kosher as well as gluten free and soy free. The desserts range from brownies and cupcakes, to banana chocolate chip bread and cookies. Some of the unique ingredients that are used include agave nectar, coconut oil and spelt. The variety of ingredients provides for an innovative perspective on baking as well as cooking. I recently had the pleasure of meeting the owner and creator of Babycakes, Erin McKenna while she was working at the bakery a couple of weeks ago. She is a delightful person who radiates energy and love for the work that she does each and everyday. Once she heard about Kaeli’s story, she said that she wanted to help the foundation by contributing a recipe in the upcoming cookbook. In addition to buying the fresh desserts at the Babycakes NYC location, the recipes are available in the cookbook, Babycakes, which is currently for sale. I would highly recommend this bakery for a delicious treat and a unique culinary experience when visiting New York City!
