On a clear, colorful autumn day, some of the participants from our Humane Ed/ Life Skills Program traveled upstate to visit Kaeli’s sanctuary and met the horses, goats and newest addition, Ferdinand the the calf. Highlights of the day included meeting King and Roger, former NYC carriage horses and all of our other residents, taking turns walking Ferdinand through the woods and feeding him his bottle, watching Mike our farrier at work and enjoying a scrumptious vegetarian lunch under a beautiful blue sky!
