The Kaeli Kramer Foundation is celebrating the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) national Help A Horse Day on Saturday, April 26 and competing for a chance to win one of five $10,000 grant prizes to assist equine rescues with their efforts to protect horses.

To celebrate the day, the Kaeli Kramer Foundation will be sponsoring a Help-A-Horse Walk-a-Thon at the Holtsville Wildlife and Ecology Center, 249 Buckley, Road, Holtsville NY 11742. Registration is at 9AM on Saturday April 26. Walk begins at 10AM. You can preregister or make a donation online here: www.kaelikramerfoundation.org/pledge/

Horses have been central to the ASPCA’s work since its inception 148 years ago, when ASPCA founder Henry Bergh stopped a cart driver from beating his horse. This resulted in the first successful arrest for the mistreatment of a horse on April 26,1866.

So come and join us on April 26 at the Holtsville Wildlife and Ecology Center, home to our resident mustangs, Callie and Valor. After the walk, watch a natural horsemanship demonstration. Learn about the plight of the America’s wild horses and the challenges confronting domestic horses. There will be a Help A Horse Puppet Show, Raffles, Prizes and more.

Bring your family and friends and do not miss this opportunity to enjoy a beautiful day outdoors while helping others!
