Mustang Sabio

Our new boy, Sabio is intelligent, quiet and observant. Sabio is the Spanish word for intelligent and wise.

On September 26th, at a BLM adoption event in Virginia, we rescued a young mustang yearling who was captured a year ago from the mountains of New Mexico . He is about 18 months old and seems to be easy going, intelligent and curious . He had two strikes against him when we acquired him and is now in the good care of our trainer Kristen at her farm, joining our first two mustang rescues (who are making remarkable progress). Upon arrival at the farm, our latest mustang whinnied loudly to farm friend Valor. The two horses have become chatty neighbors.. The goal for our new rescue is to become a participant in our newly-started horse care program for developmentally delayed teenagers and young adults.

What a wonderful opportunity for all. Not only will the horses benefit but the participants in your developmentally disabled program will know success. Congratulations and thank you for helping both he horses and the participants
